The Advanced Encryption Standard on an Asynchronous Shared-Memory Multiprocessor
نویسنده
چکیده
The performance of a single-chip shared-memory multiprocessor system for encryption/decryption of large quantities of information is examined. The multiprocessor uses an asynchronous bus system to increase scalability and to reduce design effort. The target application is the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with 128 bit key. Chip area requirements and encryption/decryption throughput rates are examined.

Design and Performance of SMPs With Asynchronous Caches
Asynchronous, cache coherence, shared-memory multiprocessor, SMP We propose and evaluate a cache-coherent symmetric multiprocessor system (SMP) based on asynchronous caches. In a system with asynchronous caches, processors and memory controllers may observe the same coherence request at different points in time. All protocol transactions are unidirectional and processors do not report snoop res...
متن کاملContention in Shared
Most complexitymeasures for concurrent algorithms for asynchronous sharedmemory architectures focus on process steps and memory consumption. In practice, however, performance of multiprocessor algorithms is heavily inuenced by contention, the extent to which processes access the same location at the same time. Nevertheless, even though contention is one of the principal considerations a ecting ...

This paper mainly focused on implementation of AES encryption and decryption standard AES-128. All the transformations of both Encryption and Decryption are simulated using an iterativedesign approach in order to minimize the hardware consumption. This method can make it avery low-complex architecture, especially in saving the hardware resource in implementing theAES InverseSub Bytes module and...
متن کاملEfficient Architectural Support for Secure Bus-Based Shared Memory Multiprocessor
Tamper-evident and tamper-resistant systems are vital to support applications such as digital right management and certified grid computing. Recently proposed schemes, such as XOM and AEGIS, assume trusting processor state only to build secure systems. Secure execution for shared memory multiprocessor is a challenging problem as multiple devices need to be trusted. In this work, we propose a fr...
متن کاملAn Optimal Algorithm for Global Termination Detection in Shared-Memory Asynchronous Multiprocessor Systems
In the literature the problem of global termination detection in shared-memory asynchronous multiprocessor systems is solved by using exclusively accessible variables and locking mechanism. In this paper we present an algorithm that solves this problem without using locking. We assume that concurrent reading does not require locking and concurrent writing diierent values without locking results...
